Yes, we know this is a big topic. The big point is how much weight we carry in our heads. We carry around our beliefs, expectations, and desires. Unfortunately, many of these things are hardwired and automatic. We do it with our actions, our choices, and the way we look at things. We are programmed to feel good and happy when things are going well, and sad and angry when they are not. We should know this, but we don’t.
The first step in breaking free from this programming and learning how to see things objectively is to learn to identify what you do and why you do it. It can be hard to do, but you can do it. For instance, if you want to get drunk, you can do it. You can feel good and have the ability to get drunk. You can even get drunk with the intention to be selfish, in that you want to have as little to do with others as possible.
The problem with this is that it is so easy to slip into this programming. When you find out someone is on Deathloop, it is very easy to feel like you are a part of their program, like you’re their slave. We know what you do for them, we know that you want to be a part of their life. We can see how you treat them. We can see that you have an agenda. We can see that you are doing whatever they say you are doing.
We already know that you are on Deathloop, and we know how you treat people like this. However, we also know that this is not your choice. You can’t be an automatic victim of others. When you are on Deathloop, you need to realize that no one else is. You can only be the victim of yourself. You need to change your behavior because you are being treated like this.
When you’re on a video game and a friend or a character is constantly telling you something that isn’t true, it’s impossible for you to not consider it a lie. If the professionals tell you that you shouldn’t be out on the streets without a job, they might be telling you that you might not have a job. This is not the case.
The problem is that the mental health industry has become so ingrained with stigma and ignorance that there are no real repercussions when it comes to people who take time off from work to get treatment.
The stigma is that people with mental illnesses are a danger to themselves and others. This is the case for people with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and depression. It can be dangerous to seek professional treatment and to use the stay out of trouble mantra.
I mean we hear it over and over again, “If you ever see a family member with mental illness, call 911.” But it only works if you never see the person. As it turns out, if that person is the mental health provider, it’s not necessary to report it. A person with mental illness can report that they’re suffering from depression and it will be investigated.
